Tennis. There is a tennis court in La Rochebeaucourt. Key is available from the bar beside the church.

Canoeing – Take a trip to Brantome or the many other lovely locations along the Dronne which offer canoeing and kayaking

Fishing – You can fish in the local river, The Nizonne and its tributaries or take a picnic and spend the day at Font Babou, a nearby fishing lake with BBQ area. Day Permits can be obtained from the bar in La Rochebeaucourt.

Walking and cycling – Discover the beauty and tranquility of this lovely area by walking or cycling along one of the many cycle tracks and footpaths that criss-cross the countryside around the area of Villebois and Mareuil. The GR36 runs past the plateau at Argentine following the old railway line. Local maps are available in the property.

Golf – An excellent 9 hole course can be found close by at the Manoir de Longeveau, just north of Aubeterre, whilst further afield you will be able to combine sightseeing with an 18 hole round at Libourne, Angouleme and Cognac. A new nine hole has opened up at St Catherine just before Soyaux.

Summer activities at Magnac Lavalette near Villebois include paragliding, archery, rock climbing and off road cycle track. Details of itinary will be available on request; (not all activities are available every day)
