Orchid Enthusiasts

From early April orchids start to flower at Argentine which is a protected site set in the Perigord and Li mousin Nature Park, 1km from property.
What seems like a million Orchis Morio spread a purple carpet across the limestone plateau. There are 24 different species of orchid recorded at Argentine. (see list)

In the second week of May you can usually see Lady, Pyramidal and Fly orchids coming into flower all along the hedgerows on the road to Lagland.
In the grassland at Lagland you can find Orchis Morio (green-winged), a few Pyramidals and the Burnt orchid which is one of my favourites.
