Spring orchids 2014

Hi orchid lovers,

We have been very fortunate this year with the wet spring helping produce a fantastic flowering of orchids on the plateau Argentine and along the lanes surrounding Lagland. The pyramidals were exceptional and the bee orchids put on a beautiful display. I did my best as usual to take some good photos of the orchids and other rare flora which grace the limestone plateau on the edge of the Perigord and Limousin Parc Naturel. see below
The orchids started flowering very early this year and by mid April a million green winged orchids were spread across the little aerodrome runway and the lady orchids were glorious like maidens in their crinolines till the highways and byways maintenance men decided to cut the verges and chopped off their heads in the process!
